Ghost hunters take photo of old building – and claim they’ve captured eerie figure

A group of paranormal investigators have claimed they’ve captured a photo of a ghostly figure in the window of a haunted building.

The image was taken in County Mayo, Ireland, on Saturday evening.

Ghost-busting group Paranormal Supernatural Investigations Ireland visited the Moore Hall site after hearing stories about strange sounds and sights in the area.

The house is located in Carnacon, near a park that is usually busy during the day as many tourists visit it.

The property once belonged to famous Irish writer George Moore and was also the ancestral home to President of the Republic of Connacht John Moore, Galway Beo reports.

During the Irish Civil War, it was burned to the ground and was never restored.

However, rumour has it that George Moore was warned that the area was unlucky and that King of Connaught, Drithliu, was killed near here in 400 AD.

According to a local legend, the Moores and Drithliu continue to terrorise anyone who dares step near the house at night.

When the group visited the house on Saturday, they described the evening as “perfectly still, calm” and with a partially full moon.

PSI wrote on Facebook : “When we arrive at every location we take pictures instantly as we believe whatever energy is there will either decide to stay or leave.”

In the corner of a window, the investigators snapped what looks like an eerie figure apparently looking at them.

The group added: “Overall the investigation started to get very stagnated as the night went on, but we felt at the beginning we were getting a lot of activity.

“We are not even nearly done with Moore Hall yet guys, lots more to come really soon.”

Many people commented the Facebook post, with one writing: “I love this place. It’s my childhood haunt. A good few nights we hiked in there in pitch dark & ended up terrified. That said, it’s a beautiful place with a mighty history. I would say if there are spirits there, they’re benevolent.”

Another added: “This is amazing! I love all things like this!! Great pic guys!”

One more commented: “Was in that house one night years ago… needless to say we were a lot quicker coming out than going in.”
